A Vision for Social Innovation in Northeast Ohio

Hosted by Social Venture Partners, bigBANG! convenes investors, social entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders and philanthropies for an evening opportunity to catalyze positive impact. The event will feature eight innovative nonprofits chosen through SVP’s investment cycle. Attendees will experience an interactive reception, a Fast Pitch stage, Presenters’ kiosks, and the keynote address by Dan Pallotta. The audience will vote in several categories.

 bigBANG! Cleveland is a forum hosted by Social Venture Partners in Cleveland. SVP is the largest network of engaged donors in the world. The next bigBANG! forum will be held on April 10, 2013 at the Cleveland State University (CSU) Student Center.  It will convene investors, social entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders and philanthropies for an evening opportunity to catalyze positive impact.

bigBANG! 2013 will:

  • Affirm Cleveland and NE Ohio as a place where social innovation flourishes
  • Help individuals build capacity for innovation in the community
  • Convene impact investors to identify good ideas to back with nonprofit innovators
  • Showcase opportunities for individuals to learn how they can be part of social innovation initiatives
  • Expand the network of individuals and organizations that value innovation, accountability, and operational stability in top-performing nonprofits

bigBANG! 2011:

  • Established Cleveland and NE Ohio as a place where social innovation flourishes
  • Helped individuals build capacity for innovation in the community
  • Convened impact investors to identify good ideas to back with nonprofit innovators
  • Showcased opportunities for individuals to learn how they can be part of social innovation initiatives
  • Engaged conference-goers in a keynote workshop with Peter Senge, renowned MIT author of The Fifth Discipline, and his new book, The Necessary Revolution. Senge is the founder of the Society for Organizational Learning.
